God’s Number
Every standard 3×3×3 Rubik’s Cube can be solved in 20 moves or fewer. This maximum is known as God’s Number.
Although there are approximately 43 quintillion possible cube positions, researchers proved in 2010 that every valid position can be solved in no more than 20 moves.
Human solvers usually take many more moves because they use repeatable solving methods that are practical to learn rather than mathematically optimal solutions.
